One of the eight members of a family who
suffered burn injuries in a gas line explosion at a house in Demra area
of the capital on 23 October died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on
Friday, reports UNB.
Ratna Begum, 18, wife of a certain Tofazzal Hossain, succumbed to her injuries at the DMCH burn unit on Friday afternoon, said DMCH police camp assistant sub-inspector Babul Miah.
Earlier, the gas line went off in the kitchen on the top floor of a two-storey building in the morning of 23 October as there was a leak in the pipeline, leaving the eight people injured.
The injured - Ratna, her husband Tofazzal, 22, Arif, 35, Shipon, 7, Emon, 18, Ferdousi, 35, Tasim, 2, and Alamgir, 40 - had been taken to the DMCH.
